About Abigail Tagg

Hello! I am Abbie

Occupational therapist at Coppet

What do I like about my work ?

Paediatric occupational therapy involves a wide range of objectives, strategies and a lot of games! My aim is for the children that I work with to enjoy our sessions, and leave with strategies that empower them to thrive and try their best no matter the challenge.

I enjoy that every day at Ergo-Léman is varied and full of fun. It is great to be able to work with children and their parents, and to see their confidence grow as they achieve goals that are personal to them.

My work experience

  • For few years after graduation, I worked as an Occupational Therapist in England within the National Health Service. I experienced different clinical specialities with mostly adult clients, such as stroke and neurology, inpatient rehabilitation and community therapy.

  • Throughout my university years and then when I first moved to Switzerland in 2023, I worked in a variety of roles with children. These have included at a nursery, as a respite carer, as a tutor to a teenager with additional needs, and as a personal learning support in school to a child with additional needs.

  • In May 2024, I had the fortune of starting to work at Ergo-Léman a couple of afternoons a week whilst I was still also working at a local school. Since August 2024, I am now working at Ergo-Léman four days a week.
