About Andrea King

Hello! I am Andrea
Occupational therapist at Gland
What do I like about my work ?
I enjoy helping children to develop their independence, watching them progress and grow while having fun.
Working with parents and other professionals, I like to help children find solutions that suit them and encourage them to gain self-confidence, all while playing!
I love the fact that no two days with children are the same, and that you have to be able to adapt to each and every one of them because they’re all different and unique.
My experience
- During the summers of 2019 to 2021, I worked as an instructor at a holiday camp for around fifty children aged 6 to 12 in the Vallée de Joux. I was able to propose and lead various fun and entertaining activities.
- During my training, I was able to do a placement at the HUG (Geneva University Hospitals) paediatric hospital, which looks after children in hospital, outpatients and children with cerebral palsy.
- As soon as I graduated, I worked for a year and a half in home care in Morges, before joining the Ergo-Léman practice in May 2025.
